Every day, children all around the world have goals and dreams of what they want to be when they grow up. Some children want to be doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, or even firefighters, but as for me, I have always wanted to be a model. I could always see myself in the latest fashions, all eyes on me, as I walk my signature walk. Believe me when I tell you not only do I have the look, but I’ve got the attitude it takes to make it in such a fast paced, ever changing industry.

I grew up in the Rockland County area of New York and am the youngest of six children. Things never came easy, but one thing has always kept me going, and that is my ambition. I was always a playful, smiling little girl, who always knew that whatever I set my mind to, I could accomplish. I am now a 26 year old mother and realize that I had to put those dreams on hold and take care of my responsibilities, which include raising my 2 year old son, as well as completing my Associates degree in Math as well as Science. In doing so, I still found time to pamper myself and still take pride in my appearance. My body is just as fit now as it was before having my child. People always tell me I don’t even look like I had a baby. It is a great compliment to me, to know that I am always up for looking my best. Some people wake up and stress over what to wear, I embrace it, wearing bright colors, cute skirts and top, and I LOVE shoes.

As I get older, I realize that time is passing me by and I am now taking steps towards making my dream of becoming a model a reality. Recently I have been going to auditions in New York City, hoping to be chosen as a new fresh face. I have begun attending photo shoots, putting my portfolio together, going out there and risking the chance of being rejected, but still trying harder every day. I would love to see myself gracing the cover of magazines such asVogue, Elle, Cosmo, Essence, or glide the catwalks as a model for the new Sean John season, or even be a featured runway model during New York fashion week.

This is it and now is the time for me to focus all my energy and attention on making this dream happen. Now’s the time to stand in the long lines for an audition that may or may not work out, attend more and more photo shoots, audition for fashion shows, get my portfolio together, but most importantly…to make my wildest dreams happen!
