I am fairly new to photography. I've always liked taking pictures, however about two years ago I invested in my first DSLR and have been taking every opportunity to learn that I can. The main thing I'm looking for out of this site is ideas for composition, critiques of my stuff and ideas to improve. I have never had any formal training on photography. Everything I've learned comes from trial and error or reading up on things on the internet. I find it very helpful to be able to look at good photos and try and figure out how they where created. I would love to hook up with a photographer and work together for a while, I believe that would help me out immensely. I'm currently running with a Nikon D40 with a 15-200mm vr nikor lense and I am looking at getting some lights.
