Born in North Wales, I moved to London in 1982 as a struggling musician. I love London and have lived there ever since. As a co-founder of rock band The Alarm, and musician I had an overwhelming fascination with the world of imaging and photography and it's power. I have fortunate too work with noted photographers such as Bob Carlos Clarke, Spencer Rowell and Russell Young.

When the group disbanded, I made the conscious decision to re-train as a photographer and paid my dues, going to college and learning from scratch. This was just prior to the start of the digital revolution, so my training involved chemicals, darkrooms, enlargers and graded papers. Hailing from a technical background meant that I took to the dawn of digital photography like a duck to water and became a 'digital pioneer'! I have never looked back. My appetite for creating images remains insatiable.

Over the past few years I have been fortunate to work with an amazingly talented team of people on some tremendous projects that only now have been given a suitable platform. Having been closely involved with the restoration of St Pancras and the adjoining stations, this was a dream project that has now come to fruition.

As most photographers aspire to shoot fashion, I have decided to specialise in sportswear fashion and beauty, working constantly in an ever-changing industry and still really excited to begin my next project. Now a longtime experienced photographer, I'm fully aware that the job is a collective process and not an individual affair. Sourcing a great team is essential in order to achieve consistent results – I have a stable of varying specialist skills around me that constantly inspire and guide.
