I am an 18 years experienced photographer that does a lot of general portraiture for work. I have a degree in photography and have had my work evaluated by fellow professionals now for 8 years. I have worked with models on and off this site. That has been a great experience. I tend to surprise people with what I can do with a different approach improvising and using minimal equipment, but just what was needed for the job.

I specialize in producing images on photographic paper on stretch canvas which can potentially be painted with acrylic oils or brush-stroked in custom frames at many size options. I will use film, infrared/full spectrum, medium format, or digital mediums. I love both natural and studio light. I am a great portrait professional that works well with people of all types. I love to practice, so TFP projects are possibilities with the right fit of model. I do rarely hire someone if I see what they do really stands out from the crowd and is different. Unless I say I want to hire you, I likely am interested in a TFP for my portfolio. If I do work with you in any capacity, I may use it for portfolio purposes, commercial endeavors, and to post the images on my websites when complete. We can talk terms before and after we complete the images. I now have all models sign a release form so there is no confusion and we establish perimeters for the project and work out all the fine details. We both have to feel safe when we work together after all. If you want a copy of my work afterwards to use in your personal portfolio, I can email you them via Drop Box (images available only by request). I only ask that you mention that I made the image and not sell it without my permission and agreeing to a price in written form. This being said, I am also for hire and will work with clients on their projects and vision if I am a good fit.

I love to do art for art's sake type of work. Sometimes I try something different and more a stretch from the norm like a beautiful model acting scary and wearing a mask, edgy art nudes, story telling, trying a new technique, concept, or medium.

I typically only hire female subjects mainly because aesthetically I appreciate the female form more. I may make an exception if the opportunity is right like fire performers or something fun.

I enjoy taking photographs typically outside in public, but I can do some indoor work as well. I have a home studio I can work in, but we have to talk first and get to know one another with clear expectations. I am OK with the model bringing a friend or significant other along just as long they don't interfere with our work. I will respect boundaries and not ask anyone to do anything they are not willing to do. I am a professional and expect my models to be the same. Everyone I have worked with here has been great and a real joy. I notice the best models have the most humble personalities and confidence in what they provide. I have worked also or met people in my Top 12. I worked with Michael from BC, but I think he passed on, which is sad because he was a brilliant male model I met at a workshop in Victoria BC.
