Friends (8)About Me
Even before picking up the camera, there is one thing that I do... As a person, I have become very observant about my surroundings and the people within those surroundings. I have become so in tune with observing on a daily basis that it has become second nature - I will not deny it, but I am a people-watcher. I have always desired capturing someone's true portrait; not by taking what is just considered a "good" picture, but by what the picture shows about this certain person. Is the person timid yet strong, or is the person strong yet soft? Just these two examples are a few of the select strengths that I try to find when I take pictures of someone.
So, before I even pick up the camera and just start snapping away, I like to get to know the person better. Are they having a good or bad day? Are they in a relationship or single? Did they just conquer something in his or her life worth being happy about? These are all the things I want to know about, these things are what make you worth the picture and it shows through. From a young age, I had always loved to be in front of the camera and when I received the chance to be behind, I fell in love with photography. Everywhere I look I see a chance for a beautiful photo, but only at that moment these are memory photographs. So with photography, this gives me the opportunity to perserve those chances. At this point in my photography, the goals I desire to conquer are to expand my horizons with using a variety of different people: men and women, with more elaborate situations from simple headshots to almost high fashion scenarios. But my main goal is to build up my portfolio for my up and coming review before I graduate from college. I really want show from the past four years of my studies that I have taken what I've learned and used it to my full advantage for the rest of my future career. There is no bigger passion for me than photography and I would love to love out that passion. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me further, I prefer you email me at coll1589@bears.unco.edu. I check it everyday so I will likely get back to you same day if not next day. Thanks for your time and reading and I hope to hear from you soon. Shannon Eileen Colleary Verified Credits (0)Worked with Shannon Eileen Colleary? Share your experience and become verified!
