One line: To try to share each person's "true face", life's stories and excitement, and the things less seen
I feel like my life began when my parents got a video camera back in the 80's. I'm the kid who used to hang out in the A/V room in school thanks to a keen sense of curiosity. This lead to participating in a broadcasting program in Middle school. Three summers in the New York State Summer School for the Media Arts program was the highlight of my young teenage life. They taught everything from Digital Arts and Video Production, to Photography, and Creative Sound. My creative education continued with the purchase of an Amiga and Video Toaster while actively participating in an internship at a local video production studio and producing marketing videos for university students. College was challenging in that no Multimedia or Video Production courses were offered where I attended. I participated in several Independent Studies for credit in a Brain Lab, creating videos, custom titles, and animations using Silicon Graphic workstations with Wavefront's Advanced Visualizer. The compositional experience of video provided a sudden way ahead when I took a photography course. Hooked on the black and white film process and all its intricacies, I changed majors to embrace all this medium had to offer. A local wedding photographer took me on as his apprentice and taught me the joy of helping new families remember their big day. Unable to completely let go of video, I interned at the local ABC affiliate, a print media service bureau, and later landed a part-time job with the local Fox affiliate as a Graphic Artist. Graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Photography, an opportunity to leverage all of my skills presented itself in the Grand Format Printing arena. Four years were spent getting Macs, PCs, and various Unix and Linux systems to talk to each other in order to accurately reproduce color images as billboards. Years later, the continued pursuit of weddings, events, the transition to digital photography from film, and the chance to share with others continually re-invigorates the passion within. The realization that there is something new to be learned each and every day is, in my opinion, the key to living a full life. I aim to live as much and as full a life as I am allowed. Thank you for this rare opportunity to in some way be a part of yours. Verified Credits (0)Worked with Video-Graphic Studios? Share your experience and become verified! Add Credits
