"Derek's communication was spectacular from his first message until the day of our shoot, always keeping his model well-informed when even the slightest change had occurred. His skill at executing the envisioned mood & atmosphere using an array of studio lighting was refreshing and clearly the product of much trial and error. He did not rest until the shot perfectly conveyed what was intended, constantly going from taking a photo, scrutinizing the result and making slight adjustments to his setup accordingly.
