In my Photography or in my Life castings there are scenes in everyday life that seize my attention, arrest me visually. The colors created by kids playing with bubbles, shyness in the usually bold, boldness in the normally shy person, or the curve of a body that resembles a land formation. I am infatuated with capturing these things with the lens. The curves of the human body imitate the contours and textures of the natural world. There is something definitely sensual in the use of the body as a landscape and backdrop for scenes depicting everyday life and culture. When I can add a hint of humor and/or satire to my work it is an extra blessing. I love to focus my attention on the lines, shadows, and shapes that I can capture in black and white, or in the strength and drama of color.
