Friends (76)About Me
I've been a photographer for fifty years now. It all started with a black and white rangefinder camera, a simple tool that captured the world in shades of gray. Those early days were all about learning the craft, understanding light and shadow, and finding the right moment to press the shutter. There was a certain magic to those black and white photos, a timeless quality that still holds a special place in my heart. Alongside photography, I’ve developed a passion for creating written content for social media, blending images with words to tell compelling stories.
Over the years, my equipment evolved, and so did my style. Today, I shoot exclusively digital. The precision and possibilities of digital photography are astounding. I love the immediacy, the ability to see my work instantly and make adjustments on the fly. It’s a far cry from the days of developing film in a darkroom, but in many ways, the essence of capturing a moment remains the same. Motorsports and landscapes are my primary subjects. There's something exhilarating about the speed and power of motorsports, the challenge of capturing a fleeting moment of pure adrenaline. Landscapes, on the other hand, offer a different kind of thrill. The patience required to capture the perfect light, the beauty of a sunrise or sunset, and the serenity of nature all speak to a different part of my soul. In the last decade, I've worked with multiple models, helping them create content for their social media accounts. The rise of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter has changed the game. I've adapted, creating images that not only capture the beauty of my subjects but also engage their audiences. I enjoy working on location, finding the perfect backdrop to complement the model and the moment. Candid style photos are my favorite, capturing people in their natural, unguarded moments. I've also ventured into creating spicier content for social media with a paywall. It's a different challenge, one that requires a keen understanding of both art and business. The goal is to create images that are both alluring and tasteful, maintaining a level of professionalism while pushing creative boundaries. Looking back on fifty years of photography, I'm grateful for the journey. From the early days of black and white to the digital era, every step has been a learning experience. Photography has allowed me to see the world in a unique way, to capture moments that might otherwise be forgotten, and to share those moments with others. It's been a ride filled with speed and tranquility, challenges and triumphs, and through it all, my passion for capturing the world through my lens has only grown stronger.
