About Me

Joanna's artwork consists of realistic figurative paintings, drawings and mixed media collage utilizing strong narrative of a voyeuristic, sublime nature.

In her newest series, a dialogue is encouraged between the viewer and subject of the painting. The canvas acts as a two-way mirror, placing the viewer in the role of a voyeur, looking in on a private moment.

Joanna earned her BFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007, and is currently pursuing her MFA from Stony Brook University in New York. Joanna works and resides in New York City.
