My principle styles had been travel related photography as my day job has taken me to 48 countries, often giving lectures world wide, and sports photography, particularly indoor volleyball, my former sport. My greatest satisfaction is getting a difficult shot after patiently waiting for the "moment", like a hummingbird or a sunset, so I formerly did less staged photography of people, and more candids, say of catching a person in public with an interesting look, pose, freezing them with their genuine look rather than a staged smile.
Now I have been also exploring opportunities to photograph models in order to hone that skill set too. The attraction to me here is a way to have full control over the light, and thus the shadows too, to capture someones eyes or accentuate a jaw line. Here I have posted a few of my preliminary shots, mostly portraits, but I highly desire to expand beyond this beginning with your collaborative help.
