About Me

I've been involved with photography since the 1960s. While stationed in Germany with the US Army, I had access to a darkroom and began processing my own images. I took a correspondence course with the School of Modern Photography.
After my military discharge in 1969, I went to work as a mechanic at United Airlines in the San Francisco maintenance facility. Family and work pretty much pushed my photographic aspirations aside for a number of years.
While working at UAL, I got involved with the union and became the editor of the union’s monthly newspaper, Tradewinds. Part of that job included photographing events and individuals. Shortly after my retirement in 2002, I discovered the wonderful world of digital photography and relapsed into my addiction to photography I'm currently taking a correspondence course through the New York Institute of Photography, learning Photoshop.
I shoot events regularly and have developed an interest in portrait photography (both studio and environmental) as part of the expansion of my horizons.
Most of my work has been volunteer or TFP in an effort to build a portfolio. My goal is to develop my skills and create a profitable photography business.
I have moved to Round Rock, TX.
