My name is Brian Cattelle and I am a fine art photographer.  My current focus is on two projects the first of which is Gummo Land. Gummo Land is a collection of original Polaroid photos inspired by strange art and cult classic films. The series explores and celebrates the awkward, weird, and uncomfortable. It highlights the unpolished and unapologetic. The project is a journey towards personal and creative freedom, a journey that pushed the bounds of my own comfort zone, forcing me to create with no apologies. In doing so I promote a movement that encourages others to dismantle personal and creative barriers with the goal of achieving total freedom. We all live on the fringe of social norms in one way or another. In acknowledging this we move towards a world of acceptance and inclusion.

The usual outfit for Gummo Land is underwear and some sort of mask or eyewear but I'm exploring it all. It's suppose to achieve a difficult note of slightly sleazy but not sexy. Just a little edgy.

I'm also working on a spin off from Gummo Land which is simply photocopying faces wearing the masks or eyewear in the previously y mentioned photos. But it really does take some time and effort to get a great photocopy.
