About Me
Thank you for stopping by.
UPDATE February 2014: I am currently working on two projects for publication. First project is for an article on portraiture, featuring examples of different kinds of portraiture. This article is for MOB Fiction Magazine, issue #3 and needs to be completed soon. For further details please contact me here at Model Mayhem or through my website TheiPhoneArts.com. Please make sure to check out my list: “Egmont’s Favorite,” as it reflects my visual and technical aesthetics. Current Focus: In the spring of 2012, I emerged from retirement after discovering mobile photography, which has fueled and reignited my passion for this art form. Since, I have embarked on a number of series, “Typography Graveyard”, “San Francisco Chinatown,” “Passport to my Neighborhood,” and a collaborative project with other mobile photographers, “The Cemetery Project.” Now I am looking forward to collaborating with models and others on unique projects. If you have an idea and wish to see it come to fruition, just get in touch with me and if I like it, just remember, there is no charge when it is a collaboration. He also writes articles for a number of mobile magazines and for his own website, TheiPhoneArts.com, which is dedicated to mobile photography. While it may appear Egmont uses a mobile camera exclusively, it truly depends on the final results desired, for he also works with a Canon 7D DSLR. He takes photography very seriously, it is his passion and form of artistic expression and over the three decades, Egmont has developed a personal style, yet he is receptive to other ideas. The goal of his photographs is to balance truth with personal interpretation and in the end that the images not only tell a story, but also raise more questions then providing answers. This philosophy is extended towards post production, aiming for a realistic fine-art appearance and limiting the post production retouch edits. While he still has his studio lights, he now prefers to work with natural light and interesting locations. Why Model Mayhem: Posting at Model Mayhem is to make connections with a few creative souls and like-minded individuals, to collaborate on unique projects. From time to time I may seek out individual models for a project and since it would be the first time we would be working together, I have no objections to you bringing an escort, someone who can also help out, making any adjustments to clothing or your hair. On occasion I have my own assistant/stylist.
