Welcome to my space, you model, photographers, and other creative people.

If you read this, it's because my folio caught your attention in some way or another ( I appreciate your time and attention ).

So my name is Mathieu ( Mathew ), and as you can see my medium is photography. I started working with people a little bit more than 10 years ago. Before that I was mostly in documentary and street photography with a slight cinematic approach. I am mostly inspired by painting than the work of other photographers. Aldo; I like the « naturel » of François Jonvel, the colourful world of David Lachapelle, and the work of Walter Chin, just to name those ones.

So what do I offer?

For the model: if you are a beginner, you will need to put some photos in your folio; I am here for that. You select some clothing, decide what kind of images you would like to do, we discuss a concept and put it in pictures. For the most experienced ones, your services are always welcome. Let me know who you are; we might not work together right away, but we might collaborate in the near future. If you have ethnic clothing typical of the region you come from or that is passed down from generation to generation, bring it! I love those things.

Photographer and filmmaker: you might need an assistant to help you make your journey much easier. I am actually good at this, and I got some experience as a studio hand in Sydney, Australia. I have been a photographer assistant here in Montreal, and I worked in the film industry in the early 2000s. I am comfortable with flash (Elinchrom and Prophoto), but my favourite is practical lighting. Of course I like to be warned 48h in advance if you need a hand.

Fashion designers and other creative spirits, I love helping people realize their vision and immortalize their work. So feel free to contact me; I will be happy to read or hear what you have in mind and help you put your work in value.
