I found myself breaking into the modelling scene last year. Modelling was a distant dream for my formerly shy self. I grew into a curvy, voluptuous girl but battled chronic illnesses and feared that my dream would be lost forever. I am not one to back down to fears and I refused to allow my obstacles to overcome me. Rather, I have overcome them! Now my dream is back and I am taking it on head first
I love modelling more than anything, knowing that I have a shoot in gets me up and going in the morning. To be able to use my modelling journey to help raise awareness of illness and fighting any stigma that comes across my path is an absolute honour, and to be approached by photographers from all over the globe and get such positive feedback and encouragement just gives me that boost to keep up the good fight with my health so i can keep going on this amazing journey.
As a plus size model I embrace the diversity of the beauty of the female form. I am open minded and my folio attests to the lengths I will go to to prove how strong the human form can be in all of its shapes and sizes. To really embrace the diversity of beauty I want to help photographers create stories in their images. Placed side by side each image collates to form a tale. I love to collaborate with photographers who want to create mystery and wonder in their stories. It is a great privilege to help photographers realize the extent to which their images have together formed a unique and beautiful tribute to the female form.
If there is anything I would say is, don’t let anything or anyone hold you back…keep fighting for what you love and enjoy the ride!
