About Me

I am a portrait photographer attempting to blend together the styles of George Hurrell, Yousuf Karsh, and Peter Gowland. That pretty much covers everything from formal to pinup.

My studio is a converted RV garage located on a horse ranch with access to horses as well as barns, fields etc. Lots of room to get creative.

For artistic/creative work, I prefer large format film (4x5 up to 8x10). The view camera gives control of focus and composition not available on any digital camera. The resolution is unmatched. But the main motivation is the process: it forces me to slow down and really create.

Of course, I also take high resolution digital photos when the subject/project requires it (for example, photographing horses.)

Would love to collaborate with you on portraits, creative bodyscapes, figure and lighting studies, or just expanding your portfolio. I'm more interested in artistic growth than financial gain.
