Ladies and Gentlemen, I am finally settled into my life here in Florence Oregon!!
This place is amazing and I'm just walking distance from some fantastic shooting locations (think endless sand dunes, the ocean, lighthouses, rivers, vistas and bridges). I'm also not far from  Eugene, Coos Bay, Crescent City and even Salem is doable.
Looking forward to 2026, I'm working to publish my books, create new web content, and shoot in some of the most amazing locations I've ever found. I'm also finding new locations about once a month.
I've been a reporter and news photographer for almost 25 years and I'm taking my personal photography in a new, more cinematic direction. However, I need some help to pull it off.
I'm currently a news editor but photography will always be my first love. One of my stringer reporters owns an abandoned ballroom in Florence and has given me permission to shoot inside- It's super-rough inside but I love the vibe.
I also have an extensive collection of retro (1950s to 1980s) camera lenses that give photos a sort of faded postcard look that I love but haven't had time to work them into a photo session.
I'm willing to work with models of any experience level. if you’re interested in learning to shoot or model, perhaps I can help a bit and we can work together and share portfolio shots. I can share everything from books to knowledge and experience and I'm also interested in your input and ideas.
I know TFP is a bit of a taboo word on this site, but it's the only card I have on an editor's salary. Models will receive a drive with all photos I take and permission to use, edit and publish them without restriction. I will pay for some shoots if it involves travel or a lot of hang time.

All that said, I'm not going to pretend I'm some big time photographer with a lot of connections in the fashion magazine industry. I just enjoy making friends, learning new things and bringing ideas to life. I've met several models doing this and most of them have become friends with whom I plan and create new photoshoot opportunities. We just have fun and make cool pictures whenever we can.
I feel I should also say that I don't treat this as a dating site, I won't touch you (even for a wardrobe adjustment) without your permission and I will never hit on you- period.
All I can offer is to share my time and art. I promise that you will find me respectful and patient at all times, as well as alert and mindful of your safety and security. I also love working with LGBTQ, CD, TG, TV models, and I'm willing to travel a bit for shoots (Salem, Coos Bay, Lincoln City and in between).
