In my life, I have been a professional travel photographer but I have also always enjoyed photographing young (and older ) men. Some of these shoots have just been to help someone have an improved image for social profiles, others to explore the potential of aspiring models. My aim is to find both the beauty and the personality of anyone I photograph. Sometimes also to find grace and movement, making use of different, even challenging lighting and including the surrounding environment. I use Model Release forms where appropriate and occasionally will agree a small session fee but mostly I look for TFP models although I will always try to help with travel expenses, meals etc.
I am not seeking to be a commercial photographer but with decades behind the camera, I see myself as more than a hobbyist. I am less experienced with model than travel shoots but I am aiming to achieve professional results, to aim is good even when there is always lots more to learn! I am based in Portsmouth UK in the varied surroundings of Hampshire and Sussex. I travel when I can including to Europe and to Asia where I appreciate the many beautiful potential subjects. My most recent work has been a great shoot with a model called Kaio in Brighton and before that with a Columbian lad in Lisbon, I get around! I look forward to being a photographer for International Shooting Days in Huy, Belgium in May 2025.
