Hi,

My name is Rory. I like making images but I'm not confined to just photography. I do digital editing, composites, etc. I'm currently working primarily with artistic nudes and digital manipulation. Ultimately, I rarely have a plan in mind, preferring to try things and see what I got later. Too many years of street photography. Somewhere in my head planning takes away from the discovery for me. I've been making art for a few decades now...as well as working in the mental health field for 20 years. I'm, by my own account, a pretty easy going guy and not particularly hung up on traditional conceptions of beauty. I'm not terribly interested in sexy...I find the idea of appealing to sexual desire...uninteresting. (Pretentious me might say, Lazy and cheap...if he were here...ahem) I also understand completely if you need to bring an escort. I shoot mostly with my friends, so I'm accustomed to shooting with people who trust me already. As that you may not, Escorts are fine...as long as they can be quiet, respectful, and generally out of my sight line. (I'm naturally sociable by nature and waste shooting time trying to make a model's escort feel included.) It would be preferable, if distance allows, to meet prior to the shoot, to take the newness/awkwardness edge off a bit.

I work out of a co-op studio here in Lafayette.

I do this for my own enjoyment and to give people images they, hopefully, like. I am willing to pay experienced models (after a discussion) but am happy to work TFP (even though print is not actually what we mean anymore) with new models looking to build up their portfolio.
