It's said that music can make you remember everything, or forget everything. Sometimes you hear a song that is basically an exact copy of what's in your heart and mind. It is a window between one's deepest thoughts and memories with the rest of the world. Good photography is like that; some pictures just grab you and make you see and feel things you wouldn't have otherwise seen or felt or remembered. Taking photographs, whether they are dark and serious, or light-hearted and uplifting, is like picking up an instrument or a brush and palette and trying to capture things you see in your mind and feel inside that you can't easily put into words.
I have much to learn about weaving all these things together, but I am fascinated by the art of the possible with capturing and conveying feelings through photography. Part of the palette from which paintings and photographs are made are the colors, the lights and shadows, and the shapes. And one of the keys to good photography is to partner with creative and expressive people who know how to build bridges with their motion and expressive poses that let you capture the feelings and emotions you're envisioning. It is always fun and exciting to work with those kinds of creative people, and I am fortunate to have met and collaborated with so many wonderful models, and I look forward to every new opportunity. "Earlier this year I had an absolutely wonderful shoot with Paul and and although I am very late and terrible and getting references posted-I could not miss commenting on how much I enjoyed this shoot and really appreciated Paul’s incredible efforts towards it and him hospitality.
