I became interested in film photography in my early twenties, and for twenty years, I became proficient with my Minolta SR-T 101. I purchased my first DSLR camera in the late 2000s, and even though I was skilled in operating in manual mode on my old SLR camera, my DSLR never shifted out of auto mode. I retired in 2020, intending to rekindle my love and advance my skills in photography.

After retiring, I purchased a Nikon D850 for primarily landscape photography. I recently purchased a Sony α7RV and will use this camera for portrait photography because of its  AI capability and 60MP BSI CMOS sensor.  I enrolled in the Fundamentals of Digital Photography course in late September and completed half of it. I am currently working on five photograph assignments. While I could use friends to complete these assignments, I would like to use an experienced model who can assist in the composition.
