My love of photography began when I was in high school and has grown over time. When I was in school I would take pictures of "newsy" events after school and in the evening and race home to develop them in my makeshift darkroom so I could sell them to the editor of our local paper in the morning. Over time I shifted from photojournalism to a love of candid shots and travel photography. And now I am exploring the art of portraiture. I have sold some work, but most I do as a self-taught hobbyist. My goal is to capture people's external beauty while simultaneously finding their inner beauty as well -- strength, intelligence, playfulness, sensuality, dexterity, vulnerability, desire, confidence and more.
