About Me

I work at NBC 30 Rock in NYC. By day I work as a lighting and stage technician for the Today Show and an assistant combo stage crew member for SNL, Jimmy Fallon and Kelly Clarkson. I started at Universal Studios Los Angeles in 2004 and worked my way to NYC in 2013. I've primarily worked as a Key grip, lighting and set design and construction. I've also written and directed my own works, and worked as a cinematographer, assistant director and producer on numerous projects.

Outside of 30 Rock, I work and travel with my own film and photo projects. I founded Lost Road Films over 20 years ago. Through Lost Road I've produced, directed and provided crew for music videos, photo shoots, product photography and film projects.

I'm happy to help new talent with images to built out their portfolios at no charge to them. These shoots are usually a few hours around NYC in an easy location, morning or midday, available light and I control the edits. I love to just see what we can get and find the images to edit. I'll provide a proper headshot and see what else we can find in the images. If you are a new talent in need of fresh images to help get you started, lets meet for a coffee in the 30 Rock concourse and say hello.

An important notice about my offer for new talent or talent that is lacking imagery...
I'm offering to meet up, pass on some learned lessons, give advice and shoot some images that you are not paying for. As a professional photographer and production specialist for the past 25+ years, I will not be giving you any RAW images at the end and I control my own edits. I don't know of any real professional photographers that give away images to anyone for any reason, except for a payment depending on the job. I see the shots, I line up my image and I create the image with my camera. Afterwards, I edit the photographs my way, how I see the image. I love color saturation, opposing symmetry, I really love odd framing choices and I really love vignettes! I also have a personal style choice of adding hits of color into B&W images. I've been doing that for decades and I'll never, ever stop. I have never, and will never, do what I'm told. My art is my art. Period. Telling a photographer what to do or to cough up all the free images they created, especially when you get free images that are meant to help you get started, is never a good thing. It's like telling Pollock his lines are crooked or telling Diane Arbus her pictures would look better in color. Every artist has his, her or their own style. It's our voice and creativity. A true artist should never compromise for anyone. And as a new artist yourself, you should go into every situation with positive energy and do your best. There will be times on set where you'll be wondering "What the hell is this person thinking? What is this going to look like after?" The very best creatives are the ones that embrace the change of pace, let themselves go, and just be in the moment! Be brave! The end result is never, ever going to be what you thought it would be. That's life and that's what this business is all about. So, always remember the Golden Rule's 2nd paragraph... Never Bite The Hand That Feeds You Free Images :^)
All that being said, I love to have a good time, meet new and rising talent and create new art, and to have fun doing so. If you feel the same, join me and lets shoot something!

I travel multiple times a year for personal photography assignments and have photographed many locations in Iceland, Asia, Tuscany, Venice, Vienna, Germany, UK, Austria and France and I have zero worries traveling for work.

My reasons for joining Model Mayhem are simple: I love this work! I love to create and I love to pass on my work and knowledge to all those artists and models that are coming up currently and for professionals and organizations that appreciate my work and style. Thanks for checking in!

Peace, Love and Mischief!
