As a little girl, everyone always said “Jade you’re so beautiful, you have the most unique eyes, one day you will be a model”. Hearing this all my life,
it always stuck with me. I always loved taking photos of myself. After graduating school and becoming an entrepreneurial wife and mommy, I decided to dive into taking pictures again. I purchased some camera equipment and had some friends and families ready for photo shoots. I tried my hand at doing hair and makeup. I had always loved doing my own and found out that I was pretty good at transforming these women into goddesses, even for an hour..  It felt very fulfilling, being able to empower other women. Teaching them to pose, because all of this really felt natural to me.  I loved my work. The pictures turned out great and all of the clients were pleased. But something else was awake inside of me.  An attempt to be comfortable in my own skin again. I had gone thru the transformation into Mommy and added so much beautiful artwork to my skin.  I wanted to feel all of the beautiful that I was capturing for others. I thought about all those times I was told I would be a model, a natural. So I ran into my modeling with full force. I joined local modeling groups and started to work on both sides of the lens. I started modeling with other tattooed baddies, traveling to different locations, whether it’s the beach or the in the mountains, to find the perfect place to shoot or capture the next concept or idea, especially when it’s the golden hour. Sometimes we even turn it into a mini family funday, while in the area. I’ve met so many beautiful souls and learned so much about the art of modeling. It has really awakened something inside of me.
Because I’ve made myself so comfortable in the modeling world over the past 5 years, I think it’s time to push forward and find more work and travel to new places, and meet and collaborate with others and their ideas and concepts. I would love to be part of the Mayhem because, I really want to take my modeling career seriously and be able to branch out on a more professional platform to find the new adventures in this life.
