About Me
Most of what I photograph are massive high-voltage transmission corridors, freight railroads, pipelines, river infrastructure and most of it exists in landscapes where people are nowhere in the frame. That emptiness is part of the work, but it's also a limitation. When you're standing under a 150-foot lattice tower or looking down a mile of rail disappearing into a mountain cut, there's a physical feeling that a photograph struggles to hand to the viewer on its own. A human figure does that immediately. It gives the viewer a way in. Not just to understand the size of what they're looking at, but to feel something about standing in the middle of it. That's where I want to take my body of work.
I'm looking for talent who can bring real presence and composure to rugged, unpredictable outdoor settings. My work isn't lifestyle or commercial, it's documentary photography. My body of work deals with environment, labor, movement, and regional identity in a part of the country that doesn't get enough serious visual attention. The right models aren't decoration in these frames, they're collaborators who help turn an honest photograph of a big, quiet, and sterile place into something with genuine human weight.
