Well, after I have escaped the land of fruits and nuts, also known as "Kommiefornia"(where pooping on the once clean streets is not illegal, and now each individual is only allowed around sixty gallons of water to take care of their daily needs)  and returned to America, settling at my last duty station, in a place I lovingly called 'Fayettenam' (Yes, my last active duty assignment was with the 82nd AIRBORNE, some 20+ years ago) (BTW, that's Fayetteville, NC, for those that never were in the Army … What can I say, it's GI humor!) and am looking for models interested in doing TFP work together. 

IS THERE ANY BODY OUT THERE?

I'm an 'advanced amateur' photographer, looking for local models interested in Casual, Swimsuit, Glamour, Retro-Glamour, Pin Up, AND, if YOU are so inclined, 'implied' or nude, TFP work.  (Provided, of course, you are over 18 years of age!) (I mean, who am I to refuse to capture you in all your natural beauty!) ;-)

While I have no problem with paying a model, the fact is, if I were to pay anyone, it would have to be after I, myself got paid. 

That said, I would have to shoot something worth selling!

Now, as in the past, one sure fire way to get something worth selling is for it to be sexy ... hence the old phrase, "Sex Sells!"

Soooooo, unless YOU care to be VERY sexy, don't expect me to finance your modeling fantasy!

Otherwise, I feel that TFP shoots are very equitable, since the model and photographer  gets photos for their portfolios, not to mention the shared experience of the shoot itself!

If you have a laptop, I usually give you copies directly from my camera, otherwise, I'll give you the photos that I feel are good (i.e. ones that are not "mid blink", caught while you are in motion and blurred (in a bad way), or where you are out of focus (Hey, it happens to ALL photographers!) :-( 


About Me

  It all started for me in HS, while taking "Photo 1" class (using an old German 35mm view-finder camera) ... When I first exposed a sheet of photo paper, then agitated it in the developer, and watched as the image slowly appeared, I was hooked! 

  After I joined the Army and finished boot camp,  I bought my first 35mm SLR (a Canon AE1-P) and carried it to Germany, South Korea, and across the USA. 

  Then, when I got out of the Army, my father introduced me to the joys of 'Medium Format' with his Mamiya C220 TLR... shortly there after, I purchased a used Hasselblad 500EL (God, I LOVE that camera!!!)

  I still take my 'Hassy' out for walks, on special  occasions, if and when I can locate the film to feed it with ...

  For quite a few years, I was using  5MP Sony Mavica ... But now, I'm using a 14.2 MP Nikon D3100 camera I purchased new, a few years ago :-P    Soooooooooo, I'm looking for some local vict ... errrrrr ... models to continue trying it on!!  ;-)

What's in a Name ...

  For those of you out there curious about my "pose4megrl" name, it all started in the mid 90's, when 'AOL' ruled the internet ... (and having 4 Mega-bites on your PC's hard drive was ALOT!) LOL

  Back then, you were limited to ten letters in your screen name ... Since I had been interested in photography for ALONG time (and figured that the internet would be a good way to connect with prospective models), I wanted a name that would convey the idea that I was a photographer looking for models.

  I came up with "pose for me".  But, since I was only interested in working with females, that would "leave the door open" for male models ... Sooo, I opted on "pose for me, girl" (What can I say, I'm not too proud to beg!)

  Realizing that that was too many spaces, I had to truncate it, and since commas were not allowed, settled on "pose4megrl" ... And the rest, as they say, is history.

Themes/Ideas that I'd like to shoot:


Car Wash  ...  have hose, bucket and dirty car, need Girl willing to wash it ;-P
Cowgirl/Western  ...  Have a "wheel gun", and had saddle, BUT if you have a   
                                  saddle, maybe we could put together a Cowgirl shoot!  or
                                  even if you don't, let's put something together!
Daisy Dukes  ...  need Girl in Short Shorts
Military  ...  have various 1990s Army gear, need Adventurous Girl
Naughty Nurse  ...  have stethoscope, need Naughty Nurse
Naughty Librarian ... know of a nice library, need Naughty Librarian
Naughty School Girl  ... IF you look under age, BRING YOUR ID!!
Shower ... We'll need to shoot using YOUR shower,  'cause mine kinda sucks!
Wet T-Shirt  ...  have water, need Girl in T-Shirt  ;-P
 


I have a Sexy Black Halter Dress, and am looking for SOME size 6  Models to fill it!  :-)



I have also acquired a "Gold Mesh Backless Top" that looks promising!!  ;-)

If YOU feel the thong bikini bottom leaves too much exposed, you could just wear the top AND shorts or a skirt ... :-)



  and, I have a "Warrior Princess" chainmail costume ...
(it weighs about ten pounds),  (After working on it for a while, I am currently trying to find a BUSTY model adventurous enough to wear it) ...

The model would need to be braless under it (for a proper fit), with around a 'D', or possibly a 'DD' cup size ... IDEALLY, it should mold to one's breasts much like a glove would mold to one's fingers!  NOW, the question is, is there such a Lady within 50 miles of Fayetteville, NC?!?!?

(I also have various bladed weapons to use as props)


  I have a suede "welder's sleeve" that could leave the bottoms of your breasts exposed (depending on their size, of course!  ;-P ) and a welder's mask & leads for sort of a 'Glamour' welder type shoot ...


  I have an Army Aviator flight suit,(sized small men's) ...  it could look pretty sexy on the right model!!



Or a WWII vintage 'Sailor's Suit'

OK, so Alyssa isn't wearing the shirt, just a 1930s vintage french bra ... ;-P

Dear Short Models:

As this subject comes up at least twice a week, making this into a post proper, rather than retyping it into each individual thread.
If you are under 5'9" or measure more than an inch over 34-24-34 your chances of getting signed by a major market high fashion/runway agency are as likely as winning the lottery and getting attacked by a gang of ninjas in the same 24 hour period.

The same goes for plus modeling...if you are 5'9", a size 10-14 and have a gorgeous face, give the agencies with plus divisions a try. But plus modeling isn't a catch all for all of us whom don't fit the fashion mold, it also has a very specific set of standards.


Commercial agencies  and those in smaller markets are a touch more forgiving, but the minimum cut off is generally 5'7" and you better have one gorgeous book of commercial images. Even then you'll be battling uphill with all of the taller girls whom can work in either fashion or commercial.

For all the ladies whom do not fit those molds....IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. It also does not mean you aren't beautiful, just that you aren't cut out for fashion. The majority of modeling isn't high fashion, and there are plenty of other options.

Rather than beat your head against the wall and pout over your lack of height (or, even worse, fruitlessly crusade to "change the industry"), here are the questions you should be asking yourself:

1. What genres and content am I comfortable shooting?
2. Is my end goal to model full time/as a sole source of income, as a side job or just for fun?
3. What are my strong features/points? What genres/markets value those features/body types?


Depending on your body type and the answers to those questions you have a plethora of other options. Fit, parts, glam, alt, hair/beauty, pin up, fetish and art nudes (if you are over 18 and comfortable shooting either)....there are a LOT of options.


Identify the genres that DO work for you, instead of being frustrated by the ones that don't, and you'll probably accomplish more and have a lot more fun. Plus, the forum posters won't descend on you in a hail of snark and irritation, which is a nice bonus
