About Me
First off--- to get a better idea of what I'm currently shooting and who I'm working with, friend me on Facebook at Facebook.com/2BePhotogenic
Now on to the bio.... The reason why you should choose to work with us isn't because we own a camera or have a studio.... it's how we will make you feel at the shoot. Because what really is important in any photoshoot is not your pose, your outfit, your shape or anything external at all... it's what is in your heart and mind, reflected in your eyes. That's really, it turns out, more important than any of the other factors above. Turns out, according to clients that hire us and models we work with, creating a safe, comfortable, fun environment on location or in the studio is somewhat uncommon. (That being said there are many many fantastic pros on this site! Love my fellow MM photogs and MUAs and etcetera). What models and clients tell us is that we sometimes seem to be better at getting great images not because of our technical skill behind the camera but because of our people skills in front of the camera. That's good! That means that you will both enjoy the shoot more and we'll get better stuff. Our long experience working with Fortune 500 companies helps. Our 20 years on the comedy stage helps... our experience doing 10,000 interviews on camera helps... All that helps us connect to the magical, ephemeral elements of a possibility so that we can catch lightning in a fraction of a second that becomes, instantly, eternal. Fun is important.... because let's face it, photo shoots are hard work. For the photographer, it's as physically taxing as building a fence. For the model, it's like performing on stage combined with a fire drill combined with a job interview.... so if the photographer isn't completely on their game in regard to setting the tone... well, it's just no fun and the results are not spectacular. Take a look at the images on our port here and compare them to others you see. Like them, you'll see happy healthy people looking great.... what you will see maybe a bit more of on our port is a sparkle in every eye... a sign not only that the shoot was fun, but that the image ends up being an 11 on the scale of one to ten... We have much to learn, from the camera and from you. Let's learn and grow and create art together. Recent national coverage of our photos: http://www.examiner.com/x-45355-SF-Fashion-News-Examiner~y2010m5d11-A-preview-of-Dutch-designer-Tosca-Sorayas-Fall-2010-collection From one of the models we worked with recently: "I wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience of working with you! As a beginning model, I was nervous and unsure of my abilities, my looks, my posing… but not only were you encouraging and patient – you were completely professional and made the experience absolutely comfortable for me. I had an amazing time, lots of fun, and learned a lot from the experience. I also loved the results! To any models or aspiring models, if you want someone to give you '110%' and have great results, then Rich is the photographer for you! Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing your work in the future." -Jodi Harris, Stanford, CA More reviews at http://www.yelp.com/biz/2bephotogenic-san-jose#hrid:HAB5qti6deaAMjxm4SSvVQ/src:self _________________________ I love the art of Pin Up and want to make it pay for all of us. We are all about class and finesse. We are all about having fun during work. If this sounds good to you, let's talk. I'm dedicated to bringing a new vision to the art of photography. Working from the idea outward, starting with an emotion directed at the recipient of the image, and building all the lighting, posing and other elements around that emotional drive results in images that have life and substance. The models I work with come first, the client gets what we create together. I look forward to working with models and clients to evoke emotions that matter and images that survive the test of time. I have been working behind the camera in one way or another for more than 20 years, and have more than 20 years on the other side of the camera as well, as a client. I've managed projects including hundreds of thousands of dollars on model fees and shoot expenses.... I know what clients are looking for because I've been one... am one. I also run a marketing agency and am part of a film group, so when you shoot with me, you are shooting with three business experts, an artist and a fool. My multiple personalities help bring yours out... I hope. I have a comfort-first motto. We have music going, I'll give you lots of input and direction and show you poses... which will both help you and may make you completely crack up... I make sure we get the shot we want by making sure you are thinking your way into the headspace... and then, pow. We click the shutter and make history. Dig? Let's rock this. You can tell he strives to create a safe and positive working environment for the people and models he works with, where communication is key. At no point did I feel discomfort or pressure, which is a valid concern for most models. Rich made sure to get feedback frequently, which was much appreciated. In addition to being incredibly easy-going and fun, he is extremely knowledgeable about the business, and I learned a great deal. He also allows room for spontaneousness, which allowed us to get some fantastic images. Will be working with him again in the future, and you should too!" -Eliz Stanton KieraVale http://www.modelmayhem.com/MelissaLynne55 Mayhem #1907854 Michaela Purcell http://www.modelmayhem.com/michaelapurcell GogoGingerSpice: Mayhem #1858941 http://www.modelmayhem.com/1858941 Shelly Nicole Mayhem #1992133 http://www.modelmayhem.com/shelleynicole Corrie Jae: Mayhem #1765788 http://www.modelmayhem.com/1765788 Traci Saba: #2029453 http://www.modelmayhem.com/2029453 Kristen Ways: Mayhem #1867429 http://www.modelmayhem.com/1867429 Breena Rose http://www.modelmayhem.com/486766 Amy DeLaCroux http://www.modelmayhem.com/1220685 Heather Height: Mayhem #1141179 http://www.modelmayhem.com/reddressprincess And many more... will update my list sooon.
