About Me
I'm a retired engineer and aviation photographer now mostly shooting landscapes and people. I have traveled extensively in the US, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the fun part of the middle east- Dubai, UAE, and Oman. Covid put an end to international travel for a while and I'm just getting started on international travel again. Last year I visited Poland, Ukraine, and Mexico, and in 2024 I've been to Mexico and Iceland with a couple more trips in the planning stage. I also love to shoot in National Parks and other scenic places.
I shoot with experienced models and can help new models develop their skills and round out their portfolios. Contact me at Aube.Antigua at Gmail if you have some interesting ideas or just want to punch up your portfolio. I have a fully equipped studio in Phoenix and portable equipment for road trips. I have a 4 wheel drive truck to get to the spectacular scenery that is otherwise inaccessible. My goal is to capture beauty with my camera. Not create a fantasy or fraud with photoshop. There are times when there is just no other way. Ansel Adams used to cut down trees in Yosemite that interfered with his artistic vision, but now they would put me in prison for that, and power companies get really ticked off when we cut down power lines that are ruining a scenic shot, so I use photoshop on those occasions when there is nothing I can do at the location. I started in photography in the film days and mostly shot slides. Back then I either got the shot properly composed and exposed in the camera or I didn't get it at all. This forced me to learn the craft of photography. I will never be a photoshopographer. I have many times gone back to get a better shot rather than "fix" a mediocre shot with the computer.
