About Me

I feel knocked out a lot, probably because I am in a transient state. An image has many "now's" and a collection of "now's" materializes the present and allows for a past and a future. Painting, or image making of any kind, is a way for me to certify or validate the present and to give my existence a sort of structure. Also, painting is a process in time, a series of mini-events that take place consecutively on the surface of the [canvas]. So a finished painting is also a historical record, an archive of events.
