I love photography! Photography has been my hobby for over 40 years. I have been working in Glamour, Boudoir, & Intimacy Photography for a little over 30 years. Creating awesome images is always my goal. In the past I have done the business and competition route, but now I just shoot for enjoyment...the creative outlet.
I work almost exclusively in the realm of Lady's Glamour, Boudoir, and Intimacy Photography. My fees are very modest, and often I trade my photos for modeling time. In those cases, I don't charge, and the model is paid with a CD of all the images we take, along with 50-100 finished images. This is often used by new models who want photos to start a portfolio or a composite, but don't have cash available. In photo circles this is referred to as "TFP" (Time for Photos). I shoot indoors or outdoors. I have a simple, 16 X 16 green screen studio in my home. Usually I use the green screen background. Green screen allows me to digitally add a wide variety of backgrounds. Outdoors, I usually shoot in the Casper area, Casper Mountain, or Alcova/Pathfinder Lakes. Winds and spectators can make outdoor shoots challenging, but that is part of the fun. My models do their own hair and make-up. I don't like the "photo factory" concept of having models show up with washed face and no make-up, then whiting out their features with base, and painting in a face that the make-up person thinks is pretty. Models should look like themselves. The same with their hair. Some ladies do bring a friend to help with this. My models choose their own outfits. As part of the glamour process, I have a variety of outfits, lingerie, boas, and satin wraps. A model can use their own outfits or mine. I don't limit the wardrobe either way. Models work within their Comfort Level. A model can wear as much as she wants, or as little as she wants. It does not matter to me. My job is to capture the best images I can regardless of attire. Chaperons are welcome. A model may feel more comfortable with a friend along. However, I do not allow men at my shoots. They are never helpful, and often distracting in the least, and disruptive at the worst. Bring a girlfriend, sister, or even Mom...but leave the guys at home. The ladies can help with hair, make-up, and opinions. The guys can see the finished product later. I typically direct the models into various poses, and "work" basic poses to create variety and achieve just-the-right final image. From each basic pose we normally achieve one "stopper". THE image that makes us pause for a moment...it holds one's attention. I spend time creating poses that emphasize triangles and S-curves to achieve a special look. However, the model can decline any pose as physically uncomfortable or morally inappropriate. No questions asked on my part. I enjoy my shoots as part of a creative process. I try to insure that my models also enjoy the time we spend creating the images. These are the basics.
