As a freelance graphic and web designer "back in the day," there always seemed to be a bit of photography involved in every gig I picked up. After a while, I was much more drawn to the photography side of digital creation than spending time learning coding of HTML and ActionScript. Eventually I was shooting food and bands on a regular basis.

I packed up and moved across the state and didn't pursue photography as anything other than a hobby once I relocated. I really gravitated towards landscape and seascape, which there is an abundance of in Northern California.

A few months ago someone was looking through some of my work and said "Don't you ever photograph people?" This sparked my curiosity and I started spending a lot more time reading about lighting, watching portraiture videos, and shooting anyone who would let me.

At this point I would like to get a little more serious about this and collaborate with some individuals who know this area of creativity more than I do. Someone pointed me to this site and I have found it to be a wealth of information and ideas and I look forward to meeting and working with some of you.
