January 16, 2009 6:34am Really love the use of shallow DOF here. It adds to the abstract nature of the image while still retaining the model's personality. Usually I don't like figures being cut off below the knee. I prefer either above or full height but the way the pose draws lines down the page with arms and legs really works well, and removing the feet retains that feel. Having her feet in the image would have ended that journey too early! Definitely works here! Finally, I love the soft lighting and the desaturated colors. This is a great work of art!
