January 06, 2012 1:03am I really like this image. It has a quirky and eccentric feel to it -a beauty and the beast type theme. The young lady beams and radiates at the camera whilst the guy looks a bit more reserved - a bit surly. She's wearing a bold, bright number and he's in stripes and jeans. But that why this image works so well. I do like your exposure control. Lighting a foreground at twilight on location is a tricky thing to do. The composition of the couple is very pleasing. Placing them in the centre of the frame would not have looked quite so good. The guy in fact is on a third line which immediately strengthens the composition. The colour saturation is also spot on and the sharpness and high contrast really makes the image 'pop' from the screen. I would like to have seen some more light on the ladys' right leg and the dark area behind the couple but that's my only criticism of a highly interesting, wonderfully eccentric and fun image.
