March 13, 2014 12:52pm This is good use of hard, directional lighting that still flatters the subject (not easy to do!) The shadow on the sand and the rim lighting on the body really create a great effect. Diagonal lines are always more dynamic and interesting than vert. and horiz., and you have her posed from corner to corner, with the diagonal shadows of the sand reinforcing the composition. Well thought out and executed.
