That downside came int the form of the king’s brother, one Prince Sadim (Midas backward CWG) While everything Midas touched turned to gold, metaphorically speaking I’m sure, everything Sadim touched turned to something more akin to Do-do. According to the fable the Golden Goddess could cure even the most grievous maladies. Sadim grew tired of his lot in life and traveled to the sacred temple of the Golden Goddess to seek a healing. And this is what happened.
There's more to the story. . . Well more speculation since neither Sadim nor the statue were ever seen again. . . unless one gave credence to the rumors of a ten foot blonde giant running naked through the forest carrying what looked like a well dressed body over her shoulder.
