You have also done an excellent job of capturing a sense of visual depth in this image, as the edge of the cliffs are shown receding in the distance. Your shallow depth of field works well here. All of this in combination with the water and sand results in a highly effective sense of place -- without distracting from the subject. In sum, this image really shines at multiple levels.
