About Me

My name is Matt LaPierre and I'm a photographer and poet living in Maine.

Last year I had open-heart surgery and the experience changed how I view my art and my time. I've become much more selective about the types of photographs I will make and think in terms of my overall body of work, what I want to say, instead of shooting for shooting's sake.

Having said that, I still love to make art and I'm open to discussing a shoot at all times. So please contact me if you are interested in shooting.

"I worked with him first remotely earlier in the year when I was in Norfolk Island then I worked with him in person in Maine. He has a nice dark style feel to his images & is cool to work with. Remotely, I liked his black & white edits for inside. For in person, my fave shots were with the white background, skull & mask. I’d work with him again & suggest him to others.
